JIBA Design Shop was opened in December, 2009 with the aim of bringing Japanese local designs to Europe.
As "JIBA" means "local or local industry" in Japense, we are carefully selecting the products with Japanese high quality. However, the more important factor of choosing the product for our online shop was the "story" behind the products. The Japanese word "Takumi", which means "craftsmanship, artisan" in English, is the perfect word to express the spirits and stories behind our products.
From the selection of the materials to the method of printing, our products are filled with TAKUMI spirit, which is nowadays very difficult to accomplish in a mass-oriented period. However, we want to introduce such Japanese products to the European market, simply because our products enriches our day.
This is our antitheses against our hectic, mass-oriented, materialistic life.
